Hi,

Firstly, you need to see what type of visa you get. If it is only a 2 week visa, you can rent a place only for that time. Local landlords now check your status ,as they are liable for fines if you over stay .

Hostels are cheaper than hotels-Do a Yahoo search on the web for Singapore Hostels.

You might want to write directly to personel managers in the various 5* hotels and send them your resume first and see if you get any response. Call them as well to get info. After that, if you still want to make a trip, then do so.
