Tough question but I will give you an answer in relationship to your aim of saving 50%.





House accomodation + Water + Electr: Dhs. 550.





Above is broken down at Dhs. 450 for bed space accomodation in a room shared by 3 more people other than you. Dhs. 100 is for your water %26amp; electricity.Forget room rental. It will cost you minimum of Dhs. 1,200 depending on location for a 3x4 meter of room.





Foods %26amp; Basic Needs (clothing, soaps, etc) Dhs. 1500 max.





This is the most resilient cost. You can control this.





Transportation: Dhs. 400





Abu Dhabi does not have a good mass transport so most of the time you will use a sharing taxi.





Health %26amp; Medical : Dhs. 50





If you dont have a company insurance, then you have to allot at least this amount every month since the cost of consultation alone is Dhs. 50 for Gen. Practitioner and Dhs.300 for specialist. Always ensure you take this as permanent expense.





With the above (it's tight but it will work), you have something like Dhs.1,500 to save.





Always remember, it's not how BIG your salary is - it's how SMALL is your expenses that counts.

with 4000 DHS a month you will be lucky if you could manage to have a balance 0.00 at the end of the month and not (-).


you can survive with that amount but u need to be very careful regarding your expenditure.


my advice don't you ever ever ever go for credit card.


it may be good as first starting in UAE so don't miss the contract. Things can be changed after while by getting new job with higher income,

your accomodation and food will cost you around 2000 DHS and you can save the other 2000 if you donr go out anywhere just home-work-home, if you wana hangout and have fun its impossible to save, but we beleive that 4000 in UAE is difficult to save any money from it,
to be honest .. its not only the low salary .. but also its very hard to find accommodation which only AED 4000 !!

you cant save anything... because the accomodation is verrrrrrrry expensive..... and there is no cheap rental at all over there... you have to rent with some people so you can pay 1500 minmum for a month and 2500 to transportation and food.... man. its not much money to have 4000 in abu dahbi minmum 6000 so you can say i am still alife... please dont get mad at me.. but you have to make friends and rent with them so everything will be okay... Please if you need any info let me know :))
of course u will be able to survive ur salary is to much enough and find accomodation that is enough 4 u and be practical no need to find acccomodtion thats to much nice just think tht u cn save money and everything ok bcoz life in dubai is not forever just we came here to make money not to enjoy and spend to much money just think in the future ok good luck
u can get a room with 2000 per month, maybe share it with someone else.
